Some things are best left unsaid
Into the drift of silence that hangs around
Between your eyes and mine
But to the heart crashes loudly,
As the waves sweep us away
In the sands of time.
Some things, though unspoken, are heard
And resonate in the depths of our souls,
Many a question to arise.
Calmed by hesitant hope,
To this euphony we sway
Silent speech displayed in our eyes.
Some things are left unexpressed
By hurried glances and wordless whispers,
But carry volumes of hidden truth.
In the bliss of oblivion
Where our hearts partake,
Bloom fiery moments of our youth.
Some things, in time, may fade away,
Softening the ache of the tiring core
That all but says what's felt.
In denial it dies,
The caution in vain
Passion in which we never dwelt.
Beautiful.
